Boerne High is fighting for a playoff spot in District 27-4A and couldn’t afford a slip up Friday at Bandera.

The last time the Lady Hounds and Lady Bulldogs met during firstround action in Boerne, the match went five sets, but that wasn’t the case last Friday when the Lady Hounds picked up a fourset win in Bandera.

Boerne High won 25- 15, 23- 25, 25- 22, 25-22. Boerne maintains its grip on fourth place in the district at 4-4 and is 20-15 overall.

BHS hosted Antonian Tuesday in a non-district match and then hosts Wimberley Friday. They are home for four matches in a row starting with Antonian and are home through next week.

Kinsley Sawyer and Haley Wheeler both served up 3 aces, Presley Mullins had 2 aces, Ava Rocchio added 17 kills and 2 blocks, Paige Stegall recorded 9 digs and 5 blocks, Aubree Stegall came up with 8 kills, Calynn Ramos added 8 kills, 17 digs and 26 assists, while Adyson Hudson finished with 26 digs.

Wheeler added 13 digs, Sawyer had 11 digs and Mullins chipped in with 10 digs as everybody on the team came up with at least 1 dig after the team recorded 105 digs in the match.
