Charger water polo teams continue district play

SAN ANTONIO – Both the Champion varsity water polo teams were in action last Saturday as they played district matches in San Antonio at the Northside Aquatics Center.
Champion took on NS schools Marshall and Brandeis in doubleheader action and the Chargers won three of the four matches.
The Champion boys swept the Rams and Broncos to remain perfect in district. The Charger boys are 19-3 overall and 7-0 in district.
In Saturday’s matches, the Champion boys mauled Marshall, 20-4, and then beat Brandeis, 17-11.
The Lady Chargers turned in a similar score against Marshall after they battered the Lady Rams, 20-4.
Later in the day, they lost to the Lady Broncos, 11-3.
The Champion girls are 11-11 and 4-3 in district.
Both Champion teams were scheduled to play doubleheaders again this Saturday as they take on Taft and Clark to close out the regular season at Northside.
