Chapman seeking return to commission seat

Richard Chapman, Kendall County Precinct 3 Commissioner is seeking re-election in 2024.

Chapman’s commitment to community involvement spans over decades with service in the Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, Berges Fest, City Council, as president of Kendall County Republican Club, delegate chairman at the Republican Convention, 21 years of service to the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department, and a current first full term as Precinct 3 commissioner.

Fulfilling his promise to be a full-time commissioner, Chapman has applied common sense, his business experience and knowledge of the community to bring cost savings and efficiency to the overall operation of Kendall County government. When first taking office, Chapman promised to protect water and resources in Kendall County. Recently, along with staff, he proposed development rule changes that will help protect the water in Kendall County, a measure approved by the Kendall County Commission.

With the ongoing drought, additional changes were essential to manage the growth in the county.

Utilizing his engineering degree and common-sense approach, he oversees more than $12 million in construction projects either in progress or soon to be under way. At the same time, he manages the largest precinct in the county and over 160 miles of roads and bridges.

Chapman and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 36 years, combining their two families to raise four awesome boys, John, Jason, Rustin, and Michael. They have been blessed with six grandchildren.

Chapman’s commitment to protect our natural resources, fiscal responsibility, quality of life and county integrity makes him an ideal candidate for Commissioner of Precinct 3. His door is always open to listen to, and work with, the citizens of Kendall County to make informed decisions that benefit all of Kendall County.

Please feel free to contact him at (830) 249-9343 ext. 391 or email: richard. [email protected]. tx.us.
