Boerne High played the only girls soccer team that has defeated them in district action this year on Friday when the Lady Greyhounds visited Davenport.
Neither team won and the two squads played to a 1-1 draw on Friday, giving the Wolves the upper hand against the Boerne girls if they end up tied in the 26-4A standings.
Davenport has a win and a tie against BHS this year so they’ll own the tiebreaker if it comes to that.
The Wolves are 5-1-4 in district and the Lady Greyhounds are 5-1-3 in district.
Boerne is 12-3-5 overall and they’ll host Canyon Lake Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Davenport only has two district matches left against Fred and Wimberley, while Boerne has three on the schedule including games with the Hawks, Great Hearts and Bandera.
Boerne and Davenport are chasing Wimberley that has the most wins in district with six and is 6-1-2 in 26-4A and has three left.
Hannah Bowen accounted for Boerne’s only goal Friday on the assist from Kylie Combs.
