Regional cross-country meet held this week in Corpus Christi
This year’s Region IV cross country meet took place in Corpus Christi Monday and Tuesday.
The Chargers won both the boys and girls Region IV-5A championships held Monday, while the Boerne boys competed in the 4A meet Tuesday.
The Lady Chargers had the best individual runner and the best team at Monday’s race after Elizabeth Leachman captured the individual title with a time of 16:50.61 and the Champion girls won the team title after they had the lowest score with 101 points.
The Champion boys tallied 86 points to take first place and won by a comfortable margin after second- place Lockhart scored 127 points.
The Boerne High boys race Tuesday in Corpus Christi right at deadline for Wednesday’s online edition.
