Charger volleyball falls to Smithson Valley
The Boerne Champion volleyball team hosted Smithson Valley Friday before the football game at BISD Stadium and the Lady Rangers were able to defeat the Lady Chargers in three sets.
Smithson Valley won Friday’s match at Charger Gym, 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.
Champion dropped to 21-18 overall and 5-8 in district. They closed out their 2023 season Tuesday at Kerrville Tivy.
Brielle Boothe paced the team in kills with 10, Raylynn Pitts added 7 kills and Taylor Fenton finished with 5 kills.
Pitts and Ryann Michalec dropped in 1 ace apiece.
Pitts also came up with 15 digs, Samantha Calderon had 7 digs, Cameryn Seaux added 6 digs, Michalec 5 digs and Michalec also led the Chargers in assists with 23.
