After a tough loss to Alamo Heights last Tuesday, the Champion boys soccer team bounced back to beat Veterans Memorial on Friday.

After a tough loss to Alamo Heights last Tuesday, the Champion boys soccer team bounced back to beat Veterans Memorial on Friday.

The Chargers won the match, 5-2, and improved to 5-8-1 overall and 4-7-1 in district. Champion is at Lehman on Tuesday and has four 26-5A matches left in the regular season.

Against the Patriots, Champion jumped out to a 4-0 lead by halftime.

Will Wallace turned in a hat trick and finished with 3 goals, while Calvin Perryman and Camden Vicknair both added single goals.

Against Alamo Heights, the Mules defeated the Chargers, 6-2.

Camden Vicknair and Calvin Perryman accounted for both of Champion’s goals in Tuesday’s match, while Perryman and Gabe Hernandez both had single assists in the match.
