BISD running teams to race at regionals

Boerne ISD will be well represented at this year’s Region IV cross-country meet scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Corpus Christi.

The Chargers will be sending both varsity teams and the BHS boys will run, while the Lady Hounds qualified an individual runner.

The Boerne boys won this year’s district title and race Tuesday in the 4A meet at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Eleanor Davis is also scheduled to run for the Lady Greyhounds after she qualified as an individual runner.

The BHS boys won the district title, their first since 2018, to advance to regionals.

The Champion boys also won their respective district crown in 26-5A and compete at the 5A regional meet Monday at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

The Lady Chargers finished second at district to also qualify for regionals and had the top runner after Elizabeth Leachman won the individual title.

The top three teams and top 10 individuals not on an advancing team head to Corpus Christi with state berths up for grabs.
