Eagles pick up tournament win

The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team continues to play in its district tournament and played two matches this week.

Geneva defeated Texas School for the Deaf Tuesday, 25-17, 29-27, 25-14, and was scheduled to host Holy Cross Thursday.

The Eagles play one round of district and then the teams play in a district tournament to determine which teams make the playoffs.

Geneva’s district is huge and includes teams from Corpus Christi to Austin and so instead of playing two rounds in district, they play one and then have the tournament.

The Eagles lost in the first round of the tourney to Austin Veritas in three, beat Texas School for the Deaf and then played Holy Cross Thursday.
