After five straight shutouts in district, the Boerne High boys soccer team finally gave up one goal Friday against Davenport but that didn’t stop the Greyhounds from winning the match.
Boerne took the contest, 6-1, and improves to 17-2-1 overall and 9-0 in district.
Boerne is at Canyon Lake Tuesday and has three matches left in the regular season. BHS is one victory away from winning another district championship and can wrap it up Tuesday.
Sam Theiss recorded a hat trick with 3 goals, while Landon Murphy had 2 goals and Justin Moore had the team’s other goal.
Jess Gonzales, Bear Kelly, Murphy and Joe Ballenger picked up assists in the match.
