Panthers sweep BHS in v-ball, but Hounds can still clinch playoff spot

Boerne High hosted Navarro for a district volleyball match Tuesday and wasn’t able to win any of the games as the Lady Panthers took three straight sets.

Navarro won the match, 25-21, 25-17, 25-14, and drops Boerne to 20-18 overall and 4-6 in district.

The good news for the Lady Hounds is that they can still make it to the postseason and have to win just one of their two remaining matches heading into Friday.

BHS hosted Canyon Lake Friday and a win in that match or a win Tuesday at home vs. Fredericksburg, or a Fred loss Friday vs. Bandera would clinch a spot for the Lady Hounds.

In Tuesday’s match, Ava Rocchio led the team in kills with 10 and had a block, while Ceci Theriot and Kynsie Jones added 4 kills each, Calynn Ramos finished with 16 assists, Morgan Naylor added 7 assists, Adyson Hudson tallied 15 digs, Kinsley Sawyer added 8 digs and Ramos had 5 digs, while five others came up with 4 digs.
