CELEBRATING THE ARTS

Hill Country Council for the Arts again is partnering with the Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild to create our Holiday Stocking Stuffer program.

This program was created to provide hand- made Christmas stockings to lift the spirits of the women of Kendall County Women’s Shelter and the Hill Country Pregnancy Center in both the Boerne and Comfort locations.

The goal is to fill 150 stockings with all manner of personal items to lift one’s spirits and provide hope.

We make this appeal to Kendall County individuals and businesses for donations of new personal items (shampoos, conditioners, hand/body lotions, bath soaks, costume jewelry; coupons towards designer coffees, haircuts, car care; diaries, pens; or a paperback novel you found to be “a good read”).

One can also contribute toward creating a stocking with a tax-deductible cash donation of $100, or simply a cash donation towards the HCCArts Stocking Stuffer program.

Debi Burrows, a member of the HCCArts board of directors, and owner of Penguin Suits Advertising Agency, is heading up the collection of items during business hours, through December 4, at 106 Austin Drive South, Boerne.

We also welcome anyone who wishes to volunteer in creating the holiday packages. Register at the HCCArts website at the Stocking Stuffer program page. Register your preferred level of participation at: https:// HCCArts. org / stocking-stuffer/.
