Lady Hounds conquer Canyon Lake
The Boerne High girls volleyball team picked up a much-needed district win Tuesday at Canyon Lake.
BHS caged the Lady Hawks in four sets, 25- 17, 26- 24, 25- 23, 25-15. The Lady Greyhounds are 2-3 in 27-4A and improved to 18-14 overall. They closed out the first round of district Friday at home against Fredericksburg.
Boerne begins seco nd-round action Tuesday at home against Davenport.
In Tuesday’s match vs. Canyon Lake, Ava Rocchio finished with 3 aces, 12 kills, 3 blocks and 6 digs, Haley Wheeler added 9 digs and 6 assists, Paige Stegall added 6 kills, Ceci Theriot tallied 6 kills and 4 digs, Morgan Naylor came up with 7 assists, Kynsie Jones had 6 digs and 4 kills, Adyson Hudson recorded 40 digs and 4 aces, Calynn Ramos chipped in with 23 assists, 5 kills and 16 digs and Aubree Stegall added 5 kills.
