Boerne boys finish second at Islander Splash
Incorrect results were provided to the Boerne Star when the Boerne high boys cross country team ran at the Islander Splash in Corpus Christi Sept. 16.
The Greyhounds came in second in the medium/small school boys 5K race and not 15th overall. The original results did not separate the teams by classification and the girls results were correct.
The Boerne boys were second with 74 points, behind a Lytle team that won the race with 50 points. La Vernia was way behind in third with 159 points in a field of 35 teams.
Carsten Bain was third overall with a 17:09.93, Aaron Garcia came in 8th after posting a 17:38.57, Barrett Crofut finished 12th with an 18:10.34, Ethan Christianson and Ben Macias went 25-26 after Christianson ran a time of 18:48.58 and Macias came in with an 18:48.99.
Hunter Prince completed the course in a time of 19:05.64 for the 33rd spot and Jackson Temple recorded a 19:12.14 for 36th place.
