LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Empty words: No proof of supposed lies
Editor: I don’t understand why the Boerne Star bothered posting a blatant and brainless hit piece on Scott Kramer’s column.
(The letter-writer) did not issue one fact. I know Scott to be a hardworking, straight-shooting Texan.
I don’t know Mr. Caldwell other than by his writing where he calls Scott’s column to be a litany of lies and then admits he didn’t bother fact checking any of the “lies.”
He goes on to say, “rightwing Republicans don’t believe in facts” while offering no support for such a statement.
After due consideration of such a letter I submit this individual did, in fact, read Scott’s column and found no lies so he resorted to name-calling.
Here are some real lies you can check out Mr. Caldwell, direct from our President: “The Border is Closed,” “Bidenomics is working,” “I will not impose any mandates regarding vaccinations,” “Trump caused the border crisis” (what crisis - I thought it was closed).
As a head start, I’ll do the last one for you, Richard. When Trump left office, border crossings were at the lowest point in four decades and still dropping (about 400 per day); now it is about 10,000 per day. Let’s pull together and solve some of the problems, not shout down those who are earnestly trying to resolve critical problems.
