Jennifer McCall, a lifelong conservative Republican, has announced her candidacy for Kendall County Commissioner Precinct 1. She will file to run in the Republican primary being held on March 5, 2024.
“I will be the voice of the citizens of Precinct 1,” she said, of her motivation to run. “My goal is to preserve what is unique in our country by representing the needs and desires of our citizens.”
McCall has assisted her husband with his remodeling business for the past 32 years. She was a Silver Sneakers and Trekking instructor at theYMCA, and most recently, the office manager for a local physician.
Health is one of her biggest passions. She has volunteered countless hours through various athletic and health organizations supporting local groups and charities.
“I have been incredibly blessed to live in Kendall County for over 30 years where my husband Andrew and I have raised our four children, McCall said.
As Christians and small-business owners, McCall said they have been blessed to be able to give back to the community by helping individuals and families in times of need.
“As a fiscal conservative, I believe in finding value for each of your dollars and will work to balance the critical needs of the community with strong budget discipline,” she said. “Law enforcement, fire protection, road and bridges, health and safety, and natural resources are priorities.”
Key issues facing the county are, and will continue to be, transportation, development and water availability. She said she intends to do the research and gather citizen input to come up with viable answers.
“By listening to the people and drawing on multiple citizen committee efforts, we can work together to find practical solutions addressing these issues,” she said.
Early voting starts Feb. 20, 2024, and Election Day is March 5, 2024.
“I would appreciate your vote and support. I will be the voice of the citizens of Precinct 1,” she said.
