Geneva girls soccer team headed to state semifinals

The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team isn’t the only Eagles girls team playing in the state semifinals.

The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team isn’t the only Eagles girls team playing in the state semifinals.

The Geneva girls soccer team also punched its ticket to the Final Four after they won three playoff games in six days.

Geneva is on an 12-match winning streak after beating Houston’s Emery Weiner 4-0 at home last Thursday and Corpus Christi John Paul II last Friday night in Corpus Christi, 7-0.

The Eagles traveled to Columbus on Tuesday for the regional round against Second Baptist and beat the Houston school, 6-0.

Kailey Stringfellow led the way on Tuesday with 3 goals and 1 assist, Alex Doran added 1 goal and 3 assists, Avery Myrick had 2 goals, and both Isabella Godoy and Maggie Chisholm each had 1 assist.

The Eagles take on Austin St. Michael’s at San Marcos Academy Stadium on Saturday, March 5, 11 a.m.
