Lady Chargers sink SACS in five sets

Boerne Champion picked up a hard-fought win Tuesday night on the road at San Antonio Christian.

The Lady Chargers and Lady Lions went five sets before Champion prevailed, 19-25, 25-19, 25-12, 19-25, 15-12. Champion improves to 15-10 overall and finally played a home match Friday (other than their tournament) when they hosted Ingram.

Brielle Boothe led the team in kills Tuesday with 13, Cassidy Breuer added 7 kills, Ryann Michalec dropped in 5 aces, Briley Wolff was big at the net and came up with 7 blocks and Taylor Fenton added 3 blocks, while Michalec tallied 14 digs, Samantha Calderon added 13 kills, Boothe had 12 kills and Azteca Crawford tallied 11 digs and 21 assists.
