Marjorie Ramsey went to join her comforter on August 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubye McCarty and Clyde Gallagher. She is survived by her sister, Joan Pyle; daughter, Valerie Ramsey Watson and her husband Dave; son, Greg Ramsey and daughter-in-law, Robin; and four grandchildren: Callie Ramsey, Luke Ramsey, Seth Ramsey and Annie Ramsey.
Marjorie grew up on a farm near Lubbock, graduated from Ropes High School and attended Texas Tech University. She was a member of Delta Gamma. At Tech, Ramsey she married Wayne Ramsey.
Following medical school and internship they returned to Lubbock. After their divorce, she returned to Tech and obtained her nursing degree from West Texas State. She worked for the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock for 25 years. In 1999, she retired to Boerne, Texas, to be near family.
Marjorie belonged to several organizations in Boerne including the Garden Club. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed activities with her grandchildren at Geneva School of Boerne. She was a member of Oak Hills Church and a volunteer in Bibleland. A constant reader, she was a member of three book clubs at the library. She believed a reader lives a thousand lives.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023, at Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home.
