Cougars defeat Chargers to start 26-5A baseball

Champion opened district play in 26-5A baseball Tuesday night in Boerne and the results weren’t what the Chargers were hoping for.

New Braunfels Canyon was in town and handed the Chargers an 11-0 loss in five innings. It’s Champion’s first loss this year and drops them to 2-1 overall and starts them at 0-1 in district.

The Chargers will take a break from district action for a bit and will play non-district games between now and March 15 when they visit Dripping Springs.
