Many of us have the privilege of experiencing art through deliberate visits to galleries and museums. However, in recent years, music and art festivals have become popular events where to fully participate in eating, drinking, singing, dancing-- in a word, “explore” different art forms, is encouraged.
Boerne BierFest is just such an event where the best of craft beer, food, music, and art comes together, presented for the enjoyment of our community. Such festivals are important because they benefit the artists and craftsmen and cross-pollinate these separate audiences.

This famous quote supports the notion that the role of art in one’s life cannot be underestimated. Art in all its forms and manifestations can be related to the social well-being of a people.
It can also be argued that a festival, in and of itself, is art -- clearly a display of aesthetics. The components required to lift individual activities and objects into the realm of art are people, time, and scale.
Boerne BierFest offers multitudes of objects d’arte, craft breweries offering up their best, folks sporting lederhosen and dirndl, popular music -- all transforming a sometimes-quiet space at the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center into an arena of color, sound and motion.
BierFest is still accepting artists’ applications to exhibit and sell at this year’s festival. We have just a few spots remaining. Artists can reserve a booth for a fee; commission is not required. Art and craft beer will be judged and winners announced during the festival.
