Lady Greyhounds post 4-2 record at Boerne ISD event

Boerne High co-hosted the Boerne ISD Volleyball Tournament last weekend and finished with a 4-2 record at the event.

Boerne High is 10-5 overall and was scheduled to host Medina Valley Tuesday. After that, the Lady Hounds play in the Godley Tournament that starts Thursday and continues through Saturday for its last tourney of the year.

Two Lady Greyhounds, Ava Rocchio and Adyson Hudson, were named to the All-Tournament team last weekend.

On the first day of the tourney, the Boerne High girls were sunk by Stevens, 25-20, 25-16, but the Lady Hounds bounced back to wrangle Ray from Corpus Christi, 25-16, 25-22 and then BHS hustled past Hondo, 25-16, 25-10.

On Saturday, the Lady Greyhounds lost to Austin Bowie, 25-22, 25-20, beat Brackenridge, 25-13, 25-15 and outlasted San Antonio Christian, 22-25, 30-29, 25-22.

Rocchio finished the tourney with 40 kills, 12 blocks and 8 aces, Aubree Stegall had 35 kills, Haley Wheeler and Holly Reeder dropped in 7 aces each, Kinsley Sawyer recorded 43 assists, while Hudson tallied 75 digs in six matches.

Teams entered in the tourney include Anderson- Shiro, Blanco, Boerne High, Boerne Champion, Brackenridge, Corpus Christi Ray, Flour Bluff, Geneva School of Boerne, Hondo, JB Alexander, James Bowie, Medina Valley, Pearsall, Providence, SACS and Stevens.
