The Comfort High volleyball team advanced all the way to the championship match at the Natalia Tournament last weekend before the Deer ended up second.
Comfort went 4-0 to start the tourney and advanced to the title game before falling to host Natalia in three sets, with two of them going extra points.
Comfort’s 4-1 record leaves them at 4-3 overall. The Deer hosted Center Point Tuesday and play in the Charlotte tournament this weekend.

At Natalia, Comfort opened on Thursday with a 25-15, 27-25 win over Dilley and then defeated Medina, 25-12, 25-12.
The Deer returned on Friday and won two more matches, the first against Center Point, 25-9, 25-13 and the other against John Paul II, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15.
Comfort returned on Saturday to play Natalia in the championship match and fell in three sets.
CHS took the first set, 25-16, but dropped the net two even though they scored 24 in the second and third games. Natalia captured the final two sets 26-24, 26-24.
