Boerne High was entered in its first volleyball tournament of the new year last weekend when the Lady Greyhounds played in the Northeast/Northside tourney.

Boerne High was entered in its first volleyball tournament of the new year last weekend when the Lady Greyhounds played in the Northeast/Northside tourney.

BHS posted a record of 3-3 and stands at 5-3 this year. They finished second in the bronze division.

The Lady Hounds were on the road Tuesday at Holmes and will help co-host the Boerne ISD Tournament this weekend.

In pool play Friday, O’Connor swept BHS, 25-20, 25-14, Churchill topped Boerne in three sets, 23-25, 25-14, 25-19 and then the Hounds beat Veterans Memorial, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Boerne returned on Saturday and played three matches at Churchill where they went 2-1. BHS roughed up Roosevelt, 25-13, 25-21, edged Midland Christian, 12-25, 25-23, 25-19 and fell to Laredo United, 25-17, 25-15.
