BOERNE -- Susan (Susie) Allen has been appointed as an Advisory Director for Texas Heritage Bank. Allen will serve alongside Paul Urban as advisors to the board of directors of the bank.

Allen, a well-known community banker in Boerne and San Antonio, officially retired from banking in 2020. She was recently appointed as Development Director of The Center in Boerne. The Center is the home of Kronkosky Place and Meals on Wheels Kendall County. She is responsible for helping ensure a sound financial future for this vital community organization.

Steve Mack, Texas Heritage Bank board chairman and CEO, said, “The board of directors of the bank are thrilled with this addition to our team of professional community bankers. Susie brings a wealth of knowhow and wisdom to this advisory role. She is also a great friend and mentor to many in our bank and in the Boerne community.”

Allen’s banking career began as a teller. She progressed rapidly in operations and then commercial lending. She served as bank office president for the Leon Springs office of Texas Heritage Bank and as senior vice president for Jefferson Bank-Boerne as a capstone to her working career.

Texas Heritage Bank, chartered in 1931, is the only locally owned, locally managed independent community bank headquartered in Boerne. The bank has three offices in San Antonio, Boerne, and Cross Plains.
