Myers named principal for middle school

The Boerne Independent School District selected Matt Myers as principal for Boerne Middle School South.

Myers served as principal at Curington Elementary since 2019. He previously served as an assistant principal at Boerne Middle School South (2016-2019) and Kendall Elementary (2011-2015).

“This is an exciting time for Boerne ISD to welcome an extraord inary principal to Boerne Middle School South,” Boerne Superintendent Thomas Price said. “Having served as an assistant principal at BMSS, this is a very exciting announcement for BISD and the campus. Matt is an exemplary leader and will have a positive impact at South.”

Prior to becoming an administrator, Myers taught fourth grade at Schanen Estates Elementary in Corpus Christi and sixth grade at Kendall Elementary in BISD.

He earned his bachelor ’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.

Myers was named principal of Elementary #8 in May before taking over at BMSS. He will start at BMSS in the 2023-24 school year beginning August 10.
