LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. JUNE 27

1:38 a.m., 600 Blk W Bandera Rd – A manager reported a hit and run accident. Another vehicle had hit the manager’s vehicle and then driven off.

8:11 a.m., 7900 Blk Pimlico Ln – A caller reported finding two puppies at the park and wanted to contact Animal Control.

8:44 a.m., 100 Blk Cheslyn – A caller requested a call back from law enforcement after they saw a lot of blood dripping out of the bed of the truck.

12:33 p.m., 300 Blk N Main – A caller reported their toolbox had been stolen from the bed of his truck the prior week.

1:15 p.m., 33000 Blk W I-10 – A caller reported that his flatbed trailer had been stolen sometime within the prior week.

1:20 p.m., 33000 Blk W I-10 – A maintenance shop reported that they’d been broke into over the weekend.

4:28 p.m., 400 S Main – A caller reported a vehicle accident. The driver drove the vehicle over the curb and hit the building. The caller explained to dispatch that the driver was awake but not entirely aware. The caller suspected the driver was drunk but disclosed that it could be a medical condition.

JUNE 28

7:04 a.m., 100 Blk Coleto Creek – A caller reported they had gotten the theft of a vehicle caught on their camera.

7:16 a.m., 100 Blk Pilsen – A caller reported that her vehicle had been stolen overnight. Shortly after the report was made, the vehicle was located!

7:22 a.m., 300 Blk Hampton Cove – A caller reported that their vehicle had been broken into during the night and his wallet had been stolen.

8:52 a.m., 100 Blk Cimarron – Maybe it was something unfortunate in the air that night, yet another caller reported their vehicle had been broken into during the night.

9:11 a.m., 200 Blk Hampton Cove – A caller reported that her vehicle had been stolen during the night. The caller was initially able to track the vehicle, but law enforcement had difficulty locating it.

5:46 p.m., 1400 S Main – A caller reported that a female had stolen some clothing items from the location. The caller explained to dispatch that the female had stolen from the location before and he had been told there was a warrant out for her arrest.

7:13 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – A shoplifting incident had occurred a couple hours earlier, with $395 in merchandise being stolen.

JUNE 29

10:12 a.m., 100 Blk Whisper Way – A realtor requested a law enforcement officer while she entered one of her properties. The caller explained that she thought there may be a subject living in the house, despite that it should be vacant.

11:16 a.m., 34000 Blk E I-10 – A caller reported that a pickup truck had been damaged while it was parked in the back of the hotel.

3:15 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera Rd – A caller reported that someone keyed his car in the parking lot. The caller provided information to dispatch regarding who they thought had done the damage.

3:50 p.m., 1600 Blk River – A caller reported male who had walked onto the property and left with his arms full of packages. The caller suspected the packages was mail for other residents. The caller provided information on where the male was going.

7:06 p.m., 400 Blk N Main – A caller reported a male who they suspected to be intoxicated. The caller smelled alcohol on the male and said he was carrying a drink with him.

JUNE 30

12:30 a.m., 100 Blk Dawn – A caller reported a suspicious vehicle that had no one in it. The vehicle was parked in front of the mailbox.

3:27 a.m., 100 Blk Pilsen – A caller reported that their vehicle had been stolen earlier in the week, with a set of keys to the house. The caller was concerned the individual may attempt to break into the house with the keys.

1:53 p.m., 540 MM W I-10 – A caller who was passing by reported a grass fire in the median of the highway. Boerne FD was called to the scene and successfully managed the situation.

4:05 p.m., 100 Blk Market – A caller reported they had fired an employee, but the employee was refusing to leave the location and was causing a scene. The caller requested that law enforcement escort the woman out of the store.

7:19 p.m., 4200 Blk W Bandera Rd – A caller reported that a male had come in earlier and stole $300 worth of merchandise and then left.

JULY 01

7:39 a.m., 500 Blk Johns – A caller reported a large dog in the road. The dog was taken to the animal shelter, where Animal Control took over.

9:34 a.m., 100 Blk Parkway – A caller reported that her mailbox was knocked down.

8:06 p.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio – A caller reported that his daughter’s boyfriend was on the location and refusing to leave. While on the phone with dispatch, the boyfriend got in his vehicle and left the location.

JUNE 27

12:01 a.m., 5800 Blk Grape Creek Rd – A caller reported they could hear noises outside of their property. The caller initially thought the noise was just animal noises but later thought it may be a person making animal noises. The caller told dispatch the noise sounded as though it was coming from their neighbor’s field.

6:11 a.m., 400 Blk W Hwy 46 – A caller reported a driver they thought was drunk. The caller reported the driver was all over the road, drifting into oncoming traffic. The caller who was driving behind the individual turned off the road and could no longer see the suspected drunk driver. The individual was heading towards Bandera County and their law enforcement offices were notified.

11:01 a.m., 100 Blk Cibolo Oak Lane – A caller wanted to report that items from his carport had been stolen.

2:06 p.m., FM 1376/Chaparral Hill – A caller who was driving by reported a male who had gotten out of his vehicle with a gun. The caller told dispatch that it appeared the male was arguing with another male.

4:22 p.m., 100 Blk Coterie Place – A caller made a report regarding a threatening voicemail he had received from a relative. The relative threatened that the caller would answer for something that had occurred over 50 years ago.

JUNE 28

4:39 a.m., 100 Blk W Hwy 46 – A single vehicle accident occurred. The vehicle drove through a fence and rolled over. The single occupant of the vehicle was able to get out of the vehicle but was complaining of chest pain. He was transported via EMS to the hospital. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle.

7:34 a.m., Hwy 87/I-10 – A two vehicle accident occurred under the interstate overpass. One of the vehicle occupants sustained a head injury and was bleeding. He said that he could not remember what had happened. Comfort FD was called to the scene due there being fluids on the road. Two tow trucks were caller for the respective vehicles.

2:29 p.m., 100 Blk River Bend Rd – A caller reported that someone threw a rock off the bridge, and it had shattered their windshield.

4:11 p.m., 200 Blk Ranger Dr – A caller reported that they had examined their camera footage and found that three males and come to his residence during the prior night. He found that the three males had gone through his vehicles; however, did not take anything.

7:53 p.m., 10200 Blk Johns Road – A caller reported a vehicle driving on the interstate that they found to be suspicious. The vehicle was occupied by three males.The caller was suspicious because of a flag on the back of the vehicle, and, because he had seen the vehicle driving around the caller’s neighborhood. Law enforcement made contact with the males, and it was found they were enjoying a scenic drive.

JUNE 29

10:04 a.m., 100 Blk Ammann Rd – A caller reported that a male had come into the house who was not welcome and was pushing the caller. The male was attempting to take the caller’s houseguest with him. The houseguest did not want to go with him, resulting in a physical dispute. Law enforcement came to the location and the male was detained.

10:08 a.m., Spencer Rd – A caller, who was with a construction company, reported that a crane had been stolen from a construction site.

1:04 p.m., 900 Blk E Hwy 46 – A vehicle hit a guardrail and almost flipped over. The vehicle was disabled but was out of the road. A tow truck was called for the vehicle. EMS was contacted to examine the driver of the vehicle.

2:40 p.m., 100 Blk Enchanted Lane – A caller reported that there was an abandoned dumpster on the side of the road. The caller told dispatch that the dumpster was full of trash and suspected the individual had left it there with no intention to retrieve.

5:05 p.m., 300 Blk FM 289 – A caller reported that their RV had been stolen.

5:59 p.m., 40200 Blk W I-10 – A caller reported that 300 gallons of diesel had been stolen from her vehicle.

JUNE 30

12:38 a.m., 200 Blk W Hwy 46 – A routine traffic stop occurred. The male was detained and read their Miranda rights. A wrecker was required to take care of the vehicle.

6:56 a.m., 543 MM W I-10 – A caller reported a male in a pink shirt who was in the median in the exit ramp.

8:16 a.m., 1200 Blk FM 474 – A caller reported a cow that was in the middle of the road, deciding which was they wanted to go for breakfast.

8:40 a.m., 1900 Blk FM 1376 – A dozen goats had gotten out in the road and were ready to follow the cow the breakfast.

9:10 a.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio Rd – A caller reported that someone was trespassing on the property who wasn’t supposed to be.

1:19 p.m., 300 Blk Waring-Welfare – A resident reported that an individual was in a vehicle by the caller’s mailbox. When the caller approached the individual, the individual quickly drove off.

JULY 01

12:42 a.m., 100 Blk N Wagon Wheel Dr – A resident reported that there were dogs barking and she suspected someone was walking on their property. The resident saw a person get into a vehicle. The caller requested law enforcement do a drive by.

9:25 a.m., 800 Blk N Main – A routine traffic stop occurred, resulting in a probable cause search. There was a positive K-9 alert and a female was detained.

12:07 p.m., 527 MM W I-10 – A caller reported that a driver pulled a gun on the caller. Both of the vehicles had pulled over and a verbal disturbance began. Law enforcement made contact with the driver who explained that the caller had held up an unknown object and the driver responded by holding up his gun with the barrel down. The driver clarified that he did not point the weapon at the caller.

4:52 p.m., 300 Blk Remington Dr – A caller reported that a small vehicle pulled up to the caller’s gate, picked up a package and drove off, ten minutes prior to them calling.

5:42 p.m., 100 Blk Waring-Welfare – A caller reported a calf that was outside of the fence line in a ditch across from Don Strange Ranch. Law enforcement made contact with the calf and returned him home.

BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

JULY 02

12:40 p.m., 540 MM E I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle that appeared unable to maintain lanes. The caller reported that the vehicle was swerving all over the place. Boerne PD contacted Bexar County law enforcement, once the vehicle was in their jurisdiction.

7:02 p.m., 400 Blk W San Antonio – A concerned caller reported a dog that was chained to the outside of the porch. The caller told dispatch that the dog appeared to be hot.

8:07 p.m., 100 Blk Medical – A caller reported that a male had pushed her while she was asking him to leave. The caller told dispatch that this was not the first time this had happened, and the male had been asked to leave before.

9:40 p.m., 31000 Blk W I-10 – A probable cause search occurred during a routine traffic stop. A minor was detained as a result of the search. The minor was released into the custody of the adult who was present during the traffic stop.

10:15 p.m., 600 Blk Irons – A caller reported that two small dogs attacked her chickens, despite them being under a fence.

JULY 03

8:11 a.m., 538 MM E I-10 – A male was detained after a routine traffic stop resulted in a probable cause search.

10:07 a.m., 1400 Blk River – A caller requested assistance regarding people coming onto her property during the fireworks show.

12:02 p.m., 540 MM W I-10 – A call reported a vehicle that was driving recklessly. The vehicle was all over the road and had had their blinker on since driving by The Rim. The caller noted that the vehicle had almost hit multiple cars.

2:38 p.m., Main/River – A two vehicle accident occurred. One of the vehicle occupants was complaining of neck pain. Two wreckers were required for the respective vehicles. EMS was contacted to provide medical assistance.

3:49 p.m., 33000 Blk W I-10 – A caller reported that the cover to his vehicle’s taillight had been stolen.

4:55 p.m., 1400 Blk E Blanco – A caller reported a male in the bathroom was smoking marijuana. The caller told dispatch they could hear the male coughing too.

JULY 04

3:02 a.m., 700 Blk Oak Park – A concerned caller reported her neighbor’s patio door had been wide open for about eight hours. The door faced the parking lot.

12:31 p.m., Schweppe/Saddle Club – A caller reported that they had hit a parked car. The owner of the vehicle requested a two truck for the vehicle.

5:10 p.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio Rd – A caller reported an elderly female had been hit by a vehicle. EMS was contacted. The woman was not bleeding; however, she had suffered a hematoma on her left leg.

6:47 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – An employee reported that they had a female detained in their office for attempting to shoplift. Law enforcement came to the scene and the woman was detained.

9:27 p.m., 100 Blk S Plant – A caller reported hearing 15 rounds of gun shots (specifically from a pistol) in her area. The caller did not see anyone, but noted to dispatch that she was out seeing fireworks.

10: 33 p. m., Cascade Caverns/ I-10 – A caller reported an SUV that threw lit fireworks out the window and then drove off. Boerne Police Department

SHERIFF’S OFFICE JULY 02

6:41 a.m., 300 Blk W Hwy 46 – A caller reported a car ran off the road and through a fence. The caller was concerned and noted that they did not see anyone around the vehicle. Law enforcement went out to the vehicle and the towing company reported that there was a hold on the vehicle.

9:09 a.m., 300 Blk Sandy Oaks Dr – A caller reported that early that morning, a male was at the caller’s gate and looked in. The caller requested that law enforcement do a drive by that night.

9:11 a.m., E Hwy 46/Rust Lane – A caller reported that another vehicle was speeding and had run the caller off the road. The caller reported that the other vehicle was now tailgating and going into oncoming traffic in order to pass other vehicles.

12:20 p.m., 100 Blk Ranch Dr – A caller reported they had a trapped skunk and needed assistance from law enforcement.

3:09 p.m., Wasp Creek Rd – A caller reported that a black bull (which the caller estimated weighed 800 pounds) had shown up in his yard.

JULY 03

9:33 a.m., 10000 Blk Johns Rd – An anonymous caller reported there were “lots of cows” in the road. Law enforcement located the cows and returned them home.

10:36 a.m., 1000 Blk Front St – A caller reported that they had found their door wide open. The caller noted to dispatch that they had locked the door last night and someone had broken in. The caller stated that he believed the vehicle was still at the location.

1:15 p.m., 543 MM E I-10 – Five people were detained after a probable cause search during a routine traffic stop.

6:41 p.m., 2000 Blk FM 1376 – A caller reported that her garbage bin had been stolen and the trash that was in it had been dumped nearby.

7:16 p.m., 528 MM E I-10 – A two vehicle accident occurred. Multiple callers reported the accident. One of the callers was involved in the accident and ended up in the median of the road. Luckily, no injuries were reported. Gas was reported to be leaking from one of the vehicles.

JULY 04

8:56 a.m., 300 Blk Wollschlaeger Dr – A caller was concerned about a rabid cat that had shown up in his yard. The caller advised that he would look for the cat today and contact Animal Control if he saw it.

12:22 p.m., 200 Blk Rocky Top Rd – A caller reported that her neighbor closed the gate on the caller’s nephew’s truck as he was pulling in and then began yelling at him. The caller said that the neighbor was waiting for people to drive through so she could yell at them. Law enforcement discovered that the truck had followed another vehicle into the gate, but the other vehicle had stopped, resulting in the gate hitting the truck.

2:07 p.m., 531 MM E I-10 – A caller reported that there was a grassfire on the side of the road by the interstate. Comfort FD was contacted.

7:43 p.m., Old San Antonio Rd/Stonegate – A two vehicle accident occurred. Luckily, both vehicles were still drivable and there were injuries. However, one of the females involved was initially detained and then taken into custody.

10:07 p.m., 200 Blk April Ln – A concerned caller reported a baby raccoon that was wedged between the house and a cement block. The caller explained to dispatch that there had initially been two raccoons but one escaped. Animal Control was contacted. Kendall County Sheriff’s Office
