Steadman
Sharon Steadman, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born on December 7, 1956, in Miami, Florida, the oldest daughter of Albert and Joan (Johnson) Stotter. She married Michael T. Steadman on November 7, 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Leslie Killer. Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael Steadman of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Megan (Brandon) King of Little Rock, AR; son, Shawn Steadman of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Lorelei King; siblings, Kurt Stotter and Sondra Stotter both from Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law, Harold Steadman, and Harry Steadman of Palm City, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharon graduated from the University of Miami, Miami, Florida, with a BS and MS in MIS in 1980. Upon graduation, she started her career with Pratt & Whitney to work on the F-16 jet engine project. She retired in 1993 as Executive Director of jet engine development for the Department of Defense Division of United Technologies. Upon coming to San Antonio in 1993, HEB hired her as a consultant and then as a Partner in the IT Division until she retired in 2005.
Sharon loved her family, friends, and being a Christian, which was instilled in her by her parents. Sharon had another dimension to the Christian faith as she watched her father’s company build many churches and synagogues in the Miami area. As a mother, she wanted her children to enjoy and experience as she did, the many things life offers such as: dance, ballet, Girl and Boy Scouts, sports – football, basketball, softball, track, karate, skiing, travel and most importantly a Christian faith. Sharon participated in IT Professionals of San Antonio, Fair Oaks Ranch HOA, the Girl Scouts of America, and University United Methodist Church, just to name a few both as a member, officer, and leader.
