The Kendall County Retired Teachers Association, which is a branch of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, will be having a retirement information presentation at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, in the Boerne ISD Central Office, 235 Johns Road.
Information states the workshop targets school employees who think they may be retiring through the Texas Teacher Retirement System in the next five years and who also will be receiving a Social Security pension when they file for Social Security benefits.
The presenter will be Oscar Garcia, who worked for the Social Security Administration for about 26 years. He plans to discuss the intersection of school employees who are retiring through TRS and who also will be eligible to receive a Social Security benefits pension when they file for Social Security.
