The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. February 2
12:13 a.m., 33500 block I-10 W.-A man was arrested during a traffic stop.
7:48 a.m., 125 Crosspoint-A man said he and his son were arguing, and the son locked his father out of the apartment, tossing his boxes out. The father needed his wallet.
2:28 p.m., 200 block Third St.-A woman said her ex-boyfriend was leaving inappropriate items in her mailbox, and she wanted it to stop.
4:20 p.m., 300 block James St.-A group of taggers were spray painting the concrete retaining wall at James and Theissen streets.
Officers also conducted 11 security checks, made one traffic stop, assisted the public eight times, removed three traffic hazards and worked five false alarms, three non-injury accidents and two animal calls.
February 3
9:36 a.m., 543 MM I-10 W.-A woman reported losing control of her vehicle and spinning out on the interstate. She said she was having pain in her arm and torso.
11:31 a.m., 101 Herff Rd.-A man reported a Bevy Hotel employee needed to be removed for serving alcohol to a minor and sexual harassment claims against him. He was asleep in a room at the hotel.
2:26 p.m., 100 block Dry Creek -A man snitched on his brother for smoking marijuana in his room.
9:51 p.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.-A woman reported there was a teenage girl attending Champion High School who was tattooing other students. The woman making the report lived in San Antonio, but her informant son went to the Boerne ISD school.
Officers also conducted eight security checks, made four traffic stops, assisted the public nine times, removed a traffic hazard and worked five false alarms, four non-injury accidents and one animal call.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
February 2
2:43 a.m., 200 block Doeskin Dr.-A man reported a woman hit him in the head with a hammer, causing him to bleed, while he was helping her move. Both had been drinking. The woman took the man’s backpack, with his laptop in it, and drove toward San Antonio.
12:09 p.m., 1000 block FM 473-Six or seven goats gathered near the road.
3:51 p.m., 100 block Spotted
Deer Trail-Someone dumped a toilet in the street.
Deputies also conducted a security check, made 15 traffic stops, assisted the public 15 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked three false alarms, one non-injury accident, one animal call and five reckless drivers.
February 3
1:19 a.m., 523 MM I-10 E.-A semi-truck carrying a large load of strawberries caught fire on the interstate. Deputies reached out to TxDOT who was busy trying to prevent roads from freezing, but the agency responded to the scene just before 3 a.m.
10:21 a.m., 39350 I-10 W.-A woman reported her sister was kidnapped during a drug deal gone bad. The woman had her sister when she called police, and she was physically fine.
4:33 p.m., 200 block Hwy 46 E.-A vehicle slid off the road and rolled onto its side. Initially, a resident thought a passenger was trapped inside, but it appeared everyone was out of the vehicle shortly after. No major injuries were reported.
8:18 p.m., Hwy 87 and Grape Creek Road-A woman wasn’t sure exactly where she was, guessing she was near the Hidden Springs Subdivision, but she got her car stuck while trying to turn around. She suspected she’d need a wrecker to get it going again.
Deputies also conducted a security check, made a traffic stop, assisted the public 11 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked three false alarms, four non-injury accidents, one animal call and one reckless driver.
