The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. MAY 09

6:59 a.m., 100 Blk Menger Springs – A baby was brought in from Bandera County. The mother was found in Pipe Creek and a welfare check was performed on her. Child Protective Services was contacted and came to the scene.

11:15 a.m., 100 Blk Chama – A caller reported that a local landscaping company had cut the lock on his property to plant a tree on the caller’s neighbor’s property. Law enforcement came to the location and did not find that a padlock had been cut.

2:59 p.m., Benton/W San Antonio – A caller reported two males who were burning things and that there was blue-colored smoke. A second caller reported the fire. Boerne FD made contact with the individuals burning and found it was a controlled burn, in county limits.

6:21 p.m., Herff/Main – A concerned caller reported a bottle or jug that was on the side of the road. The caller was concerned because one of the containers appeared to be bubbling, as though it were harmful. Law enforcement investigated the matter and found the liquid was muriatic acid.

10:19 p.m., 100 Blk Second – A resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked in between their house and the construction site. The caller could not identify the make or model of the vehicle. Law enforcement came to the location and also found the vehicle’s temp tag to be unreadable.

MAY 10

1:14 a.m., 100 Blk Capano Creek – A caller reported a group of around six teenagers walking around the area, looking into vehicles. The caller approached the teenagers, and they ran away. The caller told dispatch they were hiding in his neighbor’s bushes. Around an hour later, the caller contacted law enforcement again to report the teenagers were still looking into vehicles, and then it appeared they were changing the license plate of a vehicle.

8:48 a.m., 200 Blk E Hwy 46 – A female was detained and taken into custody after a routine traffic stop.

10:57 a.m., Main/River – A concerned caller reported an older male who was dropping candy under the bridge by the river. Law enforcement came to the location and had the male pick up all his candy. The male was given a warning about littering.

3:06 p.m., 100 Blk Adler – A caller reported a business owner who the caller believed was harassing the business’ staff. The caller also told dispatch the business owner was “always intoxicated at work”.

7:41 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera Rd – A concerned mother reported her daughter’s former classmates were harassing her daughter and threatening to hurt her vehicle.

MAY 11

2:57 a.m., 100 Blk Ponoco – A resident reported a vehicle that had pulled up around ten minutes prior to the caller contacting dispatch. The resident reported that someone was still sitting inside the vehicle, with the vehicle running. Law enforcement came to the location and the vehicle had since been unoccupied.

9:23 a.m., 1300 Blk S Main St – A male came in to report his cell phone had been stolen while he was at Walmart.

12:43 p.m.,100 Blk W Blanco – An employee reported finding a previous guest’s large bag of marijuana. The employee wanted to turn it in to law enforcement.

6:00 p.m., 1400 Blk S Main – A caller wanted to speak with law enforcement regarding finding a suspicious ski mask in the store.

11:52 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – A caller reported a loose dog running around the HEB parking lot. The caller said the dog was friendly and had come over to him and was waiting with him. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and took the dog to the animal shelter.

MAY 12

6:59 a.m., 539 MM W I-10 – A caller reported a semi-truck that had been wrecked in a ditch on the interstate. The caller reported seeing the driver walking around. A wrecker was needed for the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, was pursued on foot, and was subsequently located and detained.

9:44 a.m., 100 Blk Serenity – A caller was concerned about a bicyclist in the caller’s neighborhood. The bicyclist had rung the caller’s doorbell, prompting the caller to suspect the bicyclist was “scouting out” houses in the area.

1:59 p.m., 100 Blk E Bandera – A caller reported two males who were cursing and being rude in the business’ lobby. There were other individuals in the lobby. The caller told dispatch the males were mad because they had not made an appointment for the business and were attempting to do a walk-in.

7:47 p.m., 100 Blk City Lake – A caller suspected people who were fishing on the other side of Boerne Lake, where it is private property.

9:39 p.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio Rd – A concerned caller reported that two boys who appeared to be only 12-13 years old, were sitting on the side of the street. The caller was concerned due the timing and that the boys were out alone.

MAY 13

8:05 a.m., 200 Blk Charger – A parent reported their daughter had been given a water bottle filled with vodka by another student. The parent told dispatch that the student had brought a vodka-filled water bottle the prior day too.

12:39 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – An employee reported that a customer had approached her and told her that another customer had approached her and threatened her. The employee believed the individual who had threatened the customer was still in the store.

1:33 p.m., 100 Blk City Park – A caller reported that a truck had run into a pole and wires were hanging down. The caller was not injured. The Boerne FD was contacted as well as the city’s electric department.

6:25 p.m., 500 Blk Graham – A caller reported a male who seemed drunk that was in his car and wouldn’t get out of the vehicle. The male only spoke Spanish and was asking the caller to take him somewhere. Law enforcement arrived and took the male into custody.

7:04 p.m., 100 Blk Haven – A suspicious caller reported a male walking around the area, going in between houses.

11:02 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera Rd – A female got violent after she was caught shoplifting. The female was reported to have been swinging and fighting and had slapped on the store’s employees.

MAY 14

10:24 a.m., Main/Bess – A two-vehicle accident was reported. There were luckily no injuries; however, the vehicles were in the roadway, temporarily blocking traffic.

1:51 p.m., 900 Blk N Main – A male and female were reported to be having a verbale disturbance behind the gas station.

2:06 p.m., Upper Balcones – A caller reported two goats on their way to get their afternoon Starbucks. Unfortunately, Animal Control foiled their plans, and the goats were taken back home.

2:14 p.m., 1400 Blk S Main – A female was reported to have stolen a bunch of merchandise and then drove away.

9:43 p.m., Cascade Caverns – An employee reported a young male who kept coming into the lobby and then exiting. The male had asked to make a call on the lobby’s phone. The employee noted to dispatch that the male did not have any shoes on but was carrying them.

MAY 09

12:33 a.m., Staudt St – A caller reported a male who was frantically running around a business’ lobby. The male was saying how there were people outside the business with guns who were chasing him. Prior to calling, the caller had checked, and no one was outside. Law enforcement had made contact with the male, and it was suspected he was under the influence. The male was transported to the Boerne ER.

7:35 a.m., 100 Blk Ulmus – A caller reported his pitbull mix had gotten loose. The caller was worried because, as he informed dispatch, his dog was a “dangerous dog”. The dog was located and scheduled to be quarantined for six days.

8:26 a.m., FM 474/Dove Crest Dr. – A two-vehicle accident occurred. Dispatch received multiple calls. One caller reported that the airbag had been deployed and an occupant’s arm was bleeding. Another caller reported the accident was blocking the road. Two wreckers were required for the vehicles involved.

8:35 a.m., 500 Blk Upper Balcones Rd – A resident reported their cluster mailbox had been broken out of the cement and was laying on the ground, in the roadway. Several hours later, the caller called back to inform dispatch that a young man told her he had hit their mailboxes and was going to try and fix them.

12:07 p.m., 400 Blk Rio Frio Court – A caller reported that over the weekend, someone had thrown rocks through three of the windows in the house the caller was having built. The caller was unsure who did it but suspected it was possibly some kids.

12:51 p.m., FM 1376/Walnut Grove – A person driving by reported that a goat had gotten his horns stuck in the fence.

MAY 10

8:15 a.m., Old #9/Yellowjacket – A large sheep had made a solo escape and was looking for some new friends.

8:48 a.m., 200 Blk E Hwy 46 – A female was detained after a routine traffic stop.

8:46 a.m., 200 Blk Breeze Way – A caller reported an instance of credit card fraud. The caller explained to dispatch how his credit card information had been cloned, and charges totaling over $700 had been made to the account. The caller had successfully cancelled the card but needed to document

the matter.

4:10 p.m., N Hwy 87 – A hit and run accident was reported. A caller reported that a truck hauling a large camper had hit the caller’s vehicle in the parking lot and driven away. The vehicle’s front bumper and mirror were damaged. Law enforcement said they would search for the other vehicle.

7:08 p.m., N Hwy 87 – An employee called in to report two males who were having a verbal disagreement. The employee reported that she had gone to get something from her vehicle and when she returned the two males began yelling at her. Law enforcement came to the scene and one of the males was subsequently detained.

MAY 11

1:41 a.m., 200 Blk Bluebonnet Circle – A resident reported a pickup truck that was driving around the neighborhood

slowly.

7:40 a.m., 900 Blk E Hwy 46 – An intoxicated male was reported to be yelling at the gas station clerks and then began slowly driving around the parking lot. Law enforcement was unable to locate the male.

1:40 p.m., Deep Hollow/Hwy 46 W – A caller reported that someone had illegally dumped old window frames.

2:43 p.m., 600 Blk W Tapatio Dr – A driver reported that there was an air conditioner and a large pile of metal on the side of the highway.

10:09 p.m., FM 1376/Walnut Grove Rd – A brown horse was reported to be walking into town on the road, looking for some evening fun.

MAY 12

12:48 a.m., 100 Blk Idlewilde Blvd – A caller reported she had heard someone attempt to open her front door. The caller was requesting additional law enforcement patrols in her area.

5:14 a.m., 526MM E I-10 – A caller reported a school bus on the side of the road and was concerned about the bus being there during that timeframe. Law enforcement had found the vehicle had been checked earlier and the vehicle had been there the entire evening.

7:46 a.m., Main/Highland – Emergency services were alerted of a vehicle accident via an automated iPhone message. Two wreckers were required for the respective vehicles and an ambulance was required.

9:13 a.m., 400 Blk Whitworth Rd – A resident reported a herd of cows that had wandered onto his property, despite their home being another yard over.

2:22 p.m., 300 Blk FM 1621 – A caller reported that around ten goats had escaped and were outside the fence, closer to the road.

3:44 p.m., 400 Blk Old #9 – A vehicle reported as being stolen was pinging in the Kendall County area. The vehicle had originally been stolen out of San Antonio. Law enforcement was able to locate the vehicle via coordinates from another law enforcement office.

6:35 p.m., 800 Blk Hwy 289 – A caller reported that someone had attempted to drop off an armadillo on the caller’s property. The caller fired a warning shot in an attempt to make the man leave the location. Instead, the man drove further down the road to find a different location to leave the armadillo.

MAY 13

12:00 a.m., 524MM E I-10 – A UPS driver reported they had lost control of their vehicle and were in the median of the road. The driver reported that they were stuck and unable to remove themselves from the median, requiring a tow truck. TXDot needed to be contacted to look at the infrastructure

damage.

3:52 a.m., 600 Blk N Hwy 87 – A security company reported a stolen vehicle that was pinging in the area.

6:33 p.m., 539 MM W I-10 – A passing driver reported a vehicle sitting on the interstate entrance ramp. The caller noted to dispatch that there wasn’t anyone around the vehicle.

10:13 a.m., Waring Road – A caller reported that someone had attempted to break into the Waring Fire Station.

12:32 p.m., 37000 Blk W I-10 – A concerned caller wanted information regarding contacting the police during a potential government shutdown.

8:22 p.m., 100 Blk Dresden Wood Dr – A caller reported her motorcycle had been stolen from her garage earlier in the day. Around an hour later the caller reported that her husband had taken the motorcycle and it was his.

MAY 14

4:23 a.m., Herff Ranch/River – A single vehicle accident occurred. The caller reported that the driver was out of the vehicle; however, the vehicle was in the ditch. The caller noted to dispatch that the driver appeared impaired. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and the driver was detained.

10:59 a.m., Jennifer Dr – A caller reported that they had seen a mountain lion roughly 40 yards from the caller’s property.

1:46 p.m., 900 Blk Waring-Welfare Rd – A caller reported that someone had illegally dumped an exotic antelope.

2:28 p.m., Platten Creek/FM 1376 – A single vehicle rollover accident was reported. The occupant of the vehicle seemed confused and could not tell the dispatcher where they were. A wrecker was needed for the vehicle. An ambulance was called to provide medical assistance to three occupants.

4:10 p.m., 800 Blk Waring-Welfare Rd – A caller reported three dead deer on the side of the road. The caller was concerned because the deer were lying on top of each other, and the caller suspected they may have been illegally dumped.

MAY 15

2:17 a.m., 543 MM W I-10 – An anonymous caller reported their girlfriend had left several hours ago and was travelling through Boerne. The caller told dispatch their girlfriend had narcotics and several firearms in her vehicle. Law enforcement located the vehicle but had no probable cause to search it.

4:44 a.m., 100 Blk N Wagon Wheel Dr – A caller reported four males on his property. The caller suspected the males were stealing parts off the vehicles the caller had on the property. Law enforcement came to the location and were unable to locate the individuals.

7:46 a.m., 100 Blk Wollschlaegar Dr – A caller reported two raccoons that were trapped at his house.

8:49 a.m., 100 Blk Highland Woods – A woman called in to report an instance of fraud. The caller reported that someone had successfully opened an account in the caller’s name, with her Social Security Number. The caller did note that she closed the account before any damage was done.

10:41 p.m., 532 MM W I-10 – A male was detained and taken into custody after a routine traffic stop.
