The Boerne High girls basketball team closed out non-district action Tuesday night at Greyhound Gym with a dominant performance against San Antonio Christian Schools.
BHS recorded the 70-24 victory and ends non-district with an impressive mark of 21-3. The Lady Greyhounds open district Friday at Bandera.
SACS played Boerne close in the first quarter and was only trailing 16-10 at the end of one, but the Lady Hounds started to pull away in the second after they outscored the Lady Lions, 26-2, for the 30-point lead at halftime, 42-12.
Boerne doubled up SACS in the third, 16-8, to open up a 58-20 advantage. The Lady Hounds won all four quarters and took the fourth, 12-4, for the win.
Jordyn Lemm had a strong game and tallied 18 points on 9 of 13 shooting in just 21 minutes of action.
Jamie Ruede hit three 3-pointers on her way to 17 points and Averi Aaron netted 16 to make it three Lady Hounds in double figures.
Sushanna Cobb added 5 points, Leila Johnson and Abby Smith both chipped in with 4, Jenna Ruede hit a 3 for 3 points, Liz Fox had 2 and Hannah Rocchio added a free throw.
Aaron made it a double-double after she snagged 10 rebounds to go with her 16 points, while Aaron and Jamie Ruede both recorded 4 assists and Lemm came up with 6 steals.
