Painter

October 10, 1974 – April 20, 2023

Clifford Gene Painter passed on April 20, 2023, in Austin, Texas. He was born on October 10, 1974, to Jim Painter and Sharon (Shew) Mazurek.

Cliff graduated

from high school in Boerne, Texas. He has seven siblings and many nieces and nephews. Cliff is survived by his wife, Lynette Rutledge Painter, his two children Cassidy and Cole, his mother, Sharon Mazurek, and his siblings: Martha (Glen) Miller, James (Irma) Flores, Vicki (Robert) Van Allen, Karen (Daniel) Ferraro, Douglas (Gregory Perez) Flores, Lottie (Mark) Leyva, Earnest (Barry Perez) Painter.

Cliff is known for his genius in the tech world. His successful career began by taking the programming skills he taught himself, and selling them to his first employer. He eventually travelled the world with his career, including a great deal of time spent in Colombia, Argentina and Australia.

Cliff had several personal passions as well. He was a self-taught musician and a beautiful pianist. Music was a large part of his life; he knew musicians and bands from throughout the decades and across the spectrum. Cliff loved sports, especially golf, and he ran in several marathons. He could smoke a mean port butt, and cooking became his art form of choice. Charitable work was close to Cliff’s heart. He spent hours working in communities, providing food, water, and time.

Above all, though, Cliff adored his children more than anything else.

The world has lost a brilliant mind.

A private ceremony will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Tiny T Ranch in Garfield, TX.
