Guy Blanchard Cole passed away on April 21, 2023. He was born July 24, 1926, on the family ranch in Sanco, Texas, in the house where his father, George, was born. The family later relocated to Boerne, Texas, where Guy graduated from Boerne High School.

He enlisted in the Air force and became an aircraft mechanic. After his service ended, he attended Texas State University in San Marcos. It wasn’t long until Guy married his beautiful love, Bettie Jean Dacy. They shared a happy and wonderful marriage of 42 years until she passed in 1993. Guy enjoyed a rewarding Civil Service career at Lackland and Randolf Air Force Bases in San Antonio, TX from which he retired.

A special love of Guy’s was western music, big band orchestras, dancing, Cole

wood working, and frequent domino and card games with family and friends, all while enjoying a large glass of Bettie Jean’s “famous” sweet tea! Guy was known for his ability to build or repair anything from cars to TV’s. He spent countless hours in his workshop. Holiday and frequent family gatherings were shared with friends, great food, playing guitars around a campfire, sing alongs and an incredible amount of fun and laughter. After several years, the family began Karaoke which Guy especially enjoyed listening to his children and grandchildren sing as he danced with the festive evening away with his daughter Sharon and daughters-in-law at the young age of 90!

Guy was a dedicated Christian husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle who lived well, enjoyed life and left a cherished influence on many but none more than on his ten grandchildren. He loved you all!

Guy is preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Jean (Dacy) Cole; parents, Ruth Powell and George Cole; brother, Lyndal Cole; and daughter, Linda Cole Stahl. He is survived by his children: Gary N. Cole (Gale) of Boerne, Keith A Cole (Brenda) of Fredericksburg, Sharon Cole Timmons (Alton) of Pipe Creek, and Guy L. Cole of George West, Texas; ten grandchildren: Ethan Timmons, Tammy Raab, Harley Cole, Kolton Cole, Corey Cole, Kyle Cole, Justin Cole, Cody Cole, Shane Stahl, and Coby Stahl; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Melba Ewing, and his sisterin- law, Velda Cole.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Jonni Madalina, owner of Sunshine Senior Care and his caring staff for their exceptional loving care of Guy; to Alamo Hospice for their wonderful care; and our sincere appreciation to Dusty Fisher of Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home and their staff for their compassion, professionalism, and guidance during this difficult time.

As we bid him farewell at a private family service, we hold tight to faith, family and memories. Yes, he will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace…. Dad, Daddy, Pops, Pa Pa, Grandpa. Your love and memories live on.
