Boerne’s bats were consistent in Tuesday’s baseball game at Davenport as the Greyhounds scored in all seven innings to pick up a 10-2 victory.

Tuesday’s win also clinched this year’s district title for the Hounds team that is 11-1 in district and 24-3 overall. With three games left in the regular season heading into Friday, Boerne can’t be caught by the second-place Canyon Lake team that has 5 losses.

Like the BHS softball team, it’s the second straight for the baseball team they won 8 in a row from 2010 to 2017.

Boerne hosted Davenport on Friday and plays a series with Wimberley this coming week, Tuesday at home and on the road Friday to close out the regular season.

The Hounds scored single runs in five of the seven innings and added 2 in the second and 3 in the fifth.

It was 1-1 after one, but the Hounds built the lead to 9-1 before the Wolves would get on the board again with a single run in the bottom of the sixth to make it 9-2. The Hounds answered that run by scoring a run in the top of the seventh and finished with 8 hits in the game, 4 doubles and 4 singles.

Riley Pechacek hit 2 doubles and drove in 3 runs, Walker Hill doubled and singled, pushed in 2 runs and scored 2 runs and Dylan Perez doubled, walked twice, singled, collected an RBI and scored a run.

Cam Johnson walked twice picked up an RBI and scored 2 runs, Jace Preston walked 2 times and scored a run, Hudson McNew singled, walked and scored 2 runs, Cale Blalock brought in a run and walked twice, while Walker Hill hit 2 singles, scored 2 runs and pushed in 2 runs.

Xander Cloudy went 6 innings on the hill and gave up 3 hits, no earned runs, 1 walk and struck out 4, while Campbell Jackson threw an inning and didn’t give up a hit or a run.
