The Geneva School of Boerne baseball team cruised to two easy wins Wednesday when the Eagles hosted Corpus Christi John Paul II.
Geneva defeated the Corpus Christi school in doubleheader action, 15-0 and 17-0. They improved to 24-3 overall and are scheduled to play Monday at home against Schertz John Paul II.
In the first game, the Eagles knocked out 10 hits to get its 15 runs. They scored 2 in the first, 5 in the second and 8 in the third.
Guy George doubled, picked up 2 RBI and scored 3 runs, Chaz Lutz doubled and singled, drove in 2 runs and scored 3 runs, Grant Roberson doubled and singled, Cannon Menn scored once, Sam Armstrong singled, scored twice and had an RBI, Shawn George hit 2 singles, drove in 2 runs and scored a run, Jake Roberson plated a run and Gray Bruner hit 2 singles and scored 2 runs.
Shawn George went all 3 innings and didn’t allow a hit or walk and fanned 6.
In the second game, the Eagles knocked out 9 hits to get its 17 runs, while CC JP II had its only hit of the doubleheader.
Guy George finished with a triple and scored twice, Robert Jons walked and plated a run, Chaz Lutz singled, took 3 walks, picked up an RBI and scored 3 runs, Guy Kohler doubled and singled, collected 4 RBI and scored twice, Grant Roberson singled, Cannon Menn singled and scored 2 runs, Sam Armstrong doubled and singled, drove in 3 runs and scored 3 runs, Shawn George singled, walked twice, had 2 RBI and scored 2 runs, while Josh Patteson scored twice.
Jake Roberson went 2 innings and struck out 4, walked 2 and didn’t give up a hit or run, while Guy George gave up a hit and a walk, didn’t yield a run and fanned 2.
