The Geneva School of Boerne’s softball team made short work of Corpus Christi John Paul II earlier this week and won the game 20-1 in three innings after they scored all 20 runs in one inning.
Geneva is 6-5 overall and was scheduled to play Hallettsville Sacred Heart on Friday before closing out the regular this coming week against Schertz John Paul II.
After a 0-0 first inning, the Eagles erupted for 20 runs in the second and didn’t score after that, while CC JP II scored a run in the third frame.
Geneva finished with 14 hits in the game. Tessa Murphy doubled and drove in 3 runs, Kate Friesenhahn tripled and also picked up 3 RBI, Lily Flora went 3 for 3 with a double and collected 3 RBI, while Maggie Chisholm finished 3 for 3 at the plate and hit a double and drove in a run.
Madeline Egbert improved her pitching record to 4-4 after she only allowed 2 hits and struck out 2.
