Texas Cowboy, James A. Buck, 83, of Pipe Creek Texas, passed away in his home on April 12, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. James was born to Earl and Leona Buck on Nov. 16, 1939.

James graduated from Boerne High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served for 6 years. James was very patriotic and loved his country and showed that patriotism by flying his flags in his yard and on his truck.

James worked at the Brighter Days Horse Refuge, now known as Hill Country Horse Rescue, for many years. James loved the animals just as much as he loved his family.

James is proceeded in death by his parents Earl and Leona Buck, brother Danny Buck, sons Shane A.

Buck and James A. Buck Jr. He is survived by his daughters Melissa Buck (Kris), Rhonda Buck, Jimmie Buck Doherty (Mitch), Lori Buck Lehrmann (Darren). Brother Curtis Buck (Ruby). Sisters Jean Beck (Bob), Sharon Ramsey, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private memorial ceremony for family only will take place at Pipe Creek Cemetery on May 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
