Lynn Foerster

Foerster Lynn Foerster passed away on April 14, 2023.

Foerster Lynn Foerster passed away on April 14, 2023. Lynn was born to Dave and Nora (Morgenstern) Miller and grew up on a dairy farm with four siblings in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Lynn walked through the countryside to attend the one room country schoolhouse, “Live Oak School,” which was located about two miles from her home. She went on to graduate from Fredericksburg High School.

Lynn and her siblings were always very close and loved one another very much. Lynn was only 13 years old when she lost her mother who died suddenly after milking the cows at the end of the day. This was a very sad time for the family. Lynn married the brother of one of her teenage girlfriends, Bruno Foerster. They married on Sept. 2, 1945. They had one child, a daughter, Kathy.

When Kathy was three years old, they moved to Boerne, Texas. They lived on a ranch off Bandera Road. At that time, Boerne was a very tiny town with a population of 1,802 in 1950.

Kathy’s dad did all types of carpenter work in Boerne. A few years after moving to Boerne, when Kathy was around 9 years old, Lynn and Bruno purchased 5 acres of land and built their own house out Johns Road. They lived there for many years before moving into town to the Chapperral Creek Subdivision. Some of the happiest years of Lynn’s life were spent spending time with her grandkids.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and one brother. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Graves (Cecil); grandson, Gary Kohler (Adrienne); granddaughter, Kristy Kohler; great granddaughter, Stephanie Callaway (Will); and her great-great granddaughter, Kaylee Nicole Callaway; and several dearly loved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lynn loved the Lord Jesus and was a strong Christian. Every morning, she would read her Bible and spend time with the Lord. She was a member of Faith Bible Church for many years. Lynn genuinely loved people. You could always see the love on her face and in her eyes through her sweet smile. She was such a giving and compassionate person, always thinking of others before herself.
