The Boerne Independent School District will host The Boerne ISD Community Leadership Academy. The BISD CLA is open to citizens who wish to build their understanding of Boerne ISD.
This program consists of five, half-day sessions from October to March during the 2023-2024 school year. The agendas for these sessions will include tours of campus and district facilities, as well as opportunities to visit with school board members, administrators, and staff. Each session will take place in the Boerne ISD Board Room, 235 Johns Road, and will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m.
The session dates for the Community Leadership Academy are: October 12, 2023 November 2, 2023 January 11, 2024 February 1, 2024 March 7, 2024 Participants will learn about the Board of Trustees' role in making Boerne ISD fiscally and academically exceptional, district operations and the impact thereof on the education of students, as well as Boerne ISD programs and curriculum that are chosen to support students academically.
Some of the topics to be covered in the program are Boerne ISD budgeting and expenditure procedures; Student and staff safety programs and protocols; Boerne ISD whole-child approach to the educational experience; Biliteracy programs in Boerne ISD; as well as College and career readiness, including Career and Technical Education opportunities for students.
This academy is free and open to those who reside in or own/operate a business within the boundaries of the Boerne ISD. The capacity of the program is limited to 35 participants, and the deadline to submit an application is Friday, September 1st. To apply please visit www.BoerneISD. net/CLA.
