The Boerne High track and field program was at its district meet in Navarro recently where the top four finishers advance to the Area meet and the top six score points.
The Area meet will be this coming week at New Braunfels Canyon and the Region IV-4A meet set is set for April 28-29 at Texas A&M – Kingsville.
Varsity Boys
The Greyhounds tallied 100 points for 3rd behind Davenport (155), Wimberley (136) and ahead of Fredericksburg by a point (99), Navarro (75), Canyon Lake (30) and Bandera (25).
McCoy Bruce won the 110 hurdles after he captured 1st with a time of 15.17 and Bruce also took 1st in the 300 hurdles after running a 41.28.
Charlie Stahl won the 100 dash after recording an 11.13 and Cash McPeak came in 5th with a posting of 11.33. Stahl earned more team points in the 200 after the speedster finished 2nd with a time of 22.78.
Kaden Fischer won the discus with a toss of 139-7 and Keagan Fischer came in 5th after he flung the discus 129-5.
Logan Schramm won the shot put with a throw of 51-2 and Kaden Fischer was right behind him in 2nd with a distance of 47-4.50.
Also, Woody Goen earned 2 team points after he was 5th in the long jump with a leap of 21-8.
Boerne’s 4x200 of Charlie Stahl, Bode Brown,Woody Goen and Hunter Freeman teamed up for 2nd after recording a 1:31, the 4x100 relay team of Freeman, Goen, Wyatt Watts and Cash McPeak teamed up for 4th with a time of 44.44, while the 4x400 of Max Migliozzi, Bode Brown, Freeman and Goen combined for 4th place with a time of 3:33.
The BHS JV boys were 4th with 104 points.
Varsity Girls
The Lady Hounds finished 5th with 59 points behind Fredericksburg (212), Wimberley (105), Canyon Lake (97) and Davenport (75), but ahead of Navarro (44) and Bandera (28).
Boerne picked up the majority of its points in field events and scored 49 of their 59 points away from the track.
Tori Adams won the discus with a toss of 127-7 and Averi Aaron came in 3rd after she flung the discus 104-11 for 16 combined points.
Adams and Aaron pointed again after Adams claimed another district title in the shot put with a toss of 43-2.5 for 10 more points and Aaron finished 5th with a throw of 33-7.5 for 2 points.
Kendall Lemm won the high jump after she cleared 5-6 for 1st place and 10 points and Alyson Bendele tied for 3rd in the event after she cleared 5-0 for 5 points Katie Schickedanz tied for 3rd in the pole vault after she vaulted 9-0 for 5 points and Addie Dayoc came in 6th after she vaulted 8-6 for a team point.
Eleanor Davis placed 5th in the 3200 with a time of 12:43 and Samara Koenig came in 4th in the 100 dash after clocking in at 12.84.
Samara Koenig, Prisca Igbo, Mary Elizabeth Zaehringer and Alyson Bendele teamed up for 6th in the 4x100 relay with a time of 52.36, while Riley Scheidt, Igbo, Zaehringer and Koenig combined for 6th after recording a time of 1:49 in the 4x200.
The Boerne JV girls finished 5th with 67 points.
