The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. 10:08 a.m., 400 Blk Huntwick – A caller reported construction materials had been stolen from a construction site over the weekend.
11:41 a.m., 100 Blk E Bandera – A two-vehicle accident occurred. Due to a language barrier, dispatch had difficulty getting information from one of the drivers. The other driver had an arm injury but refused EMS services. She required a wrecker for her vehicle.
1:27 p.m., Cibolo Basin – A caller reported that someone had called him to tell him his mom had been involved in a car accident. The caller also told dispatch the scam caller had requested $1500. The caller was able to make contact with his mom and confirm she was okay.
1:49 p.m., Old San Antonio/ Barbara’s Way – Multiple callers reported a woman holding up a neon sign that said to call the police. It was noted that the woman had a stroller. Law enforcement arrived and it turned out the woman’s car had broken down. Law enforcement helped jump start her vehicle and everyone was on their way.
4:57 p.m., 100 Blk Southglen Pkwy – A caller reported people had been trespassing in the neighborhood’s private pool facility. The caller told dispatch that the pool had not been opened for the season yet. However, the caller was unsure if the trespassers were members.
APRIL 05
7:58 a.m., Hwy 46/I-10 W – A hit and run incident occurred. The caller was unsure which direction the vehicle had driven.
8:21 a.m., 300 Blk Ebner – A caller who was alarmingly woken up, reported hearing a very loud noise. The caller compared the sound to a tree falling but was unable to locate anything fallen or broken. Law enforcement advised the caller to stay in her house.
12:22 p.m., 30000 Blk W I-10 – A caller reported a scam that occurred over email with a fraudulent, ironically named company “Real Outfitters” which did not exist.
4:01 p.m., 100 Blk Wild Rose – A driver reported her vehicle’s temp tags had been stolen and she was receiving toll road charges.
5:35 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A caller reported that his vehicle had been broken into while he was inside the store, shopping. The caller reported that it was $15,000 of tools, power tools and an ice chest that had been stolen.
5:41 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – Two males were reported to have shoplifted from the store. The majority of the license plate of their vehicle was obtained through video surveillance.
APRIL 06
7:52 a.m., San Antonio/School – A caller reported hearing four distinct popping sounds and then hearing four more of the same sound approximately one minute later. The caller was unsure what the cause of the sounds was and requested law enforcement check it out.
9:02 a.m., 30000 Blk W I-10 – A father reported a Snapchat message his son had received. The message was a picture of a male with a gun, with an expletive message directed at “CHS”, and saying to not go to school tomorrow. The caller was unsure who the male in the photo was. Dispatch spoke with the son and discovered CHS was referring Centennial High School in Friso, Texas – not Champion High School.
3:21 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – An employee reported a male shoplifting from the store. He did not listen to the store’s employees and refused to stop. The male got in his vehicle and drove away.
7:54 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A caller reported her phone had been stolen and was pinging in someone else’s vehicle which was in the parking lot.
APRIL 07
1:03 p.m., Scenic Loop/I-10 WB Frontage – A two-vehicle accident occurred. The vehicles had been moved to the side of the road to get out of traffic. However, one of the vehicles did require a wrecker.
3:50 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – A caller reported that someone had hit his vehicle while he was parked in the parking lot.
4:08 p.m., San Antonio/Lattimore – A concerned caller reported a vehicle that was parked in the same location for 30 minutes. The caller told dispatch that the driver, a woman, was repeatedly getting in and out of the vehicle. The woman appeared to be throwing items from her vehicle in the creek. Law enforcement checked out the situation and found the woman was legally parked.
7:07 p.m., 532 MM E I-10 – An off -duty state trooper called in to report a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was going roughly 90 MPH on the interstate and contained at least three occupants. One of the occupants was not wearing a seatbelt and appeared to be leaning forward. The vehicle was pulled over and searched.
9:38 p.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio Rd – A caller reported an aggressive knock on her front door. The caller had a protection order against someone, adding to her concern. She did not see anyone but requested law enforcement search the area.
10:57 p.m., 1000 Blk Diamond – A caller reported four young adults engaged in a physical altercation in the parking lot. The caller was unable to tell whether or not weapons were involved. The caller reported seeing some of the fight participants getting in a vehicle and driving into the apartment complex parking lot but was not sure where they had parked.
APRIL 04
7:12 a.m., 1800 Blk FM 1376 – Three vehicles were reported to be parked on the side of the road, trespassing on other people’s property. The caller reported seeing a female and told the dispatcher they suspected the vehicle’s occupants heading to the creek.
10:27 a.m., High Street Rd – A caller reported that someone had trespassed on his property while he was on a trip out of town. The caller noticed the lock on his gate had been cut and a large brush pile had been moved. Law enforcement advised the caller to put up cameras and “No Trespassing” signs.
10:56 a.m., 533 MM W I-10 – A driver passing by reported white smoke coming from under the hood of a semi-truck. The driver was concerned the vehicle may catch on fire. The semi-truck driver had pulled over and exited the vehicle. Boerne Fire Department was called to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished before Boerne FD got there.
11:18 a.m., 100 Blk Walnut Grove – A caller reported her vehicle was given to a mechanic in 2021 in San Antonio, but she had not seen it since. The caller further reported that she had seen the vehicle at the reported address with different license plates. The caller told dispatch she suspected the mechanic was switching out license plates on the different cars he was bringing into his shop.
5:33 p.m., 100 Blk Winchester Dr – A resident reported there being two suspicious bags and beer cans outside of his fence. The resident told the dispatch that he had already discarded the beer cans. Law enforcement came to the property and did not locate the mysterious bags.
APRIL 05
9:50 a.m., 100 Blk N Wagon Wheel – A large possum and her babies decided to stop by this resident’s back porch for some breakfast!
11:11 a.m. 1000 Blk N FM 3351 – A cow heard about the possum’s get together and wanted to join! However, the cow unfortunately didn’t make it very far before her owner found her and she had to go back home.
2:03 p.m., 300 Blk Holiday Rd – A grass fire was reported. The original caller did not have a visual of the fire, but a second caller reported seeing flames from a distance. Comfort FD was called to the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire turned out to be a cigarette. Luckily, no structures caught on fire.
7:39 p.m., 200 Blk Majestic Oaks – A caller reported a vehicle that had been parked in front of his house for roughly half an hour. The caller was unable to determine if anyone was in the vehicle. Shortly after the call ended, the caller reported that the vehicle had driven away and was with his neighbor.
8:48 p.m., 100 Blk Mountain Springs Dr – Law enforcement requested backup when dealing with a traffic stop. The driver was detained, and a probable cause search occurred. The driver was taken into custody and a tow truck was called for the vehicle.
9:28 p.m., 100 Blk August Lane – A caller reported someone banging on her front door and her dogs were barking loudly. The caller told dispatch she suspected in may be someone in her area who is mentally ill. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and found no suspicious subjects.
APRIL 06
6:53 a.m., Old Fredericksburg Rd – A caller reported that an hour earlier, he had seen a vehicle with its flashers on, just outside his property. The caller had gone out to check the situation and found the vehicle had damaged his fence, leaving behind debris and its license plate. A mother called in later to report her daughter had hit a fence and lost the license plate.
10:38 a.m., 100 Blk N Hwy 87 – There was some concern regarding a school shooting after an employee at a local business heard about a school shooting post on social media. The post was investigated, and multiple posts were found. The caller was informed the posts were regarding a different school district and not pertinent to the area.
2:08 p.m., Waring Welfare Rd – A caller reported the license plate had been stolen off her trailer. The caller was especially concerned because she was being charged for a toll road in Dallas.
7:54 p.m., 527 MM E I-10 – A caller reported two vehicles had been speeding and it looked like one of the vehicles had gone off the road. The caller told dispatch she felt like the vehicle may have “wrecked out” but the caller did not stop. Law enforcement investigated the matter and found the vehicle’s transmission had broken down and he had pulled over.
10:58 p.m., FM 289/Big Joshua Creek Loop – A caller reported a male who appeared to be passed out in his vehicle, with the brake lights on. Law enforcement arrived and took the male into custody.
APRIL 08
8:44 a.m., 100 Blk Doeskin Dr – A caller wanted to report fraud after viewing his bank statement.
9:19 a.m., FM 3351/Guthrie Rd – A driver reported an unknown number of sheep in the road. What the caller didn’t know was that the sheep were on their way to a very competitive Easter egg hunt.
11:38 a.m., 200 Blk Dillard Lane – A caller reported a neighbor hitting golf balls onto the caller’s location and the livestock was eating them. The caller explained that his animals were expensive, and he did not appreciate their new golf-ball diet. Law enforcement came to the caller’s house and met with the caller and the neighbor. The neighbor explained it would no longer happen.
4:54 p.m., 533 MM E I-10 – A caller reported seeing a fire in the area. Boerne FD was called to the scene and found someone there, monitoring the fire. The fire appeared to be under control, and they left the location.
5:40 p.m., N Hwy 87 – A bus driver was seeking assistance from law enforcement regarding a passenger who was being rude and would not get off the bus. Even the bus driver had exited the bus and the passenger had refused and stayed on. Law enforcement arrived, asked the passenger to exit the bus and he complied.
