Lady Chargers hoops has 7 named all-district

Boerne Champion had seven varsity basketball players named all-district as voted upon by the coaches in District 26-5A.

Junior Adriana Barreiro, senior Addison Hankins and senior Madyson Marquard were first-team selections.

Sophomore Grace Erbstoesser and senior Hudson Lonsdale were second-team picks, while senior Olivia Keilman and senior Christine McGinn were both honorable mention.

The Lady Chargers had a solid season that ended a lot sooner than they were hoping. Champion finished second in 26-5A at 12-2 with both district losses coming to league champs Wagner, a team that went on to win the region and play at the 5A state tournament.

Champion opened the playoffs against Liberty Hill and was knocked out in the first round by the Panthers.
