The Geneva School of Boerne baseball team improved to 19-2 after the Eagles defeated FEAST Tuesday at home, 7-1.
Geneva was scheduled to hit the road and play Corpus Christi John Paul II on Friday in a district contest.
The Eagles were consistent and scored in each of the first four innings. They plated single runs in the first and second frames, pushed in 3 runs in the third and added another 2 in the fourth for the 7-1 lead.
FEAST didn’t get on the board until the fifth with a single run before the game was called.
Geneva banged out 11 hits in the game and had a triple from Sam Arm- strong, who also scored and drove in a run. Guy Kohler doubled and hit 2 singles, scored 2 runs and picked up 3 RBI, Guys George finished with 2 hits and scored twice, third baseman C. Lutz had 2 singles and scored a run, Grant Roberson plated a run Cannon Menn knocked out 2 hits, George Viña walked and singled, and left fielder C. Lutz picked up an RBI.
Viña was the winning pitcher and only gave up 1 hit and the run FEAST scored was unearned. He also fanned 6 and didn’t walk a batter.
