Charger track team at Mules Relays

Last week the Boerne Champion track and field team competed at the Mules Relays.

Last week the Boerne Champion track and field team competed at the Mules Relays.

The Champion varsity girls came in 1st and the boys were 3rd. The Chargers were at the NISD meet this week, while others athletes were at the Texas Relays.

Varsity Girls

The Lady Chargers tallied 174 points to beat eight other teams that scored at least a point, six of them 6A.

Elizabeth Leachman, Kynley Albright and Grace Flores went 1-2-3 in the 3200 with times of 10:53, 11:56 and 12:08.

Champion won the 4x100 after Madison Meinke, Vanesa Gonzalez, Mariela Gonzalez and Erin Fallon combined for a 47.25, Kendall Fallon won the 800 after clocking in at 2:23, while Destiney Rose and Emma Rice went 3-4 with times of 2:26 and 2:27.

Addison Hankins took 2nd in the 100 hurdles after posting a 15.76 and Larysa Green was 6th at 17.42.

Vanesa Gonzalez won the 100 dash in a time of 12.28, Madison Meinke placed 4th in the race with a 12.88 and Juliana Syroney was 6th at 13.03.

The 4x200 relay of Madison Meinke, Mariela Gonzalez, Erin Fallon and Vanesa Gonzalez teamed up for 1st with a time of 1:41, while Regan Garcia came in 6th in the 400 after posting a 1:04.

Kendall Fallon and Addison Hankins came in 2nd and 3rd in the 300 hurdles after they went 45.19 and 46.07, while Mariela Gonzalez won the 200 with a time of 25.0.

Four Chargers placed in the 1600 after Elizabeth Leachman came in 1st with a 5:04, Josey Whitaker was 2nd in 5:21, Emma Rice finished 4th with a 5:29 and Jenna Koepke was 5th at 5:32.

The 4x400 relay of Addison Hankins, Destiney Rose, Erin Fallon and Kendall Fallon combined for 2nd with a time of 4:01.

Carsyn Bradley went 33-01.50 in the triple jump to finish 5th and Peyton Smith was 6th in the pole vault with a vault of 10-0.

Varsity Boys

The Champion boys scored 116 points for 3rd behind Reagan (167) and Steele (117.50).

Charlie Houck placed 4th in the 3200 with a time of 10:03, while the 4x100 of Corbin Mitchell, Sawyer Bolli, Ranger Lewis and Arlis Adickes came in 3rd with a 42.58.

Luis Tovar finished 3rd in the 800 after running a 1:59 and Caleb Dehart was 5th with a 2:01.

Brock Lewis came in 3rd in the 110 hurdles after recording a 15.33 and Ben Blomqvist finished 5th with a time of 15.47, while Arlis Adickes won the 100 dash after posting an 11.35. Adickes anchored the 4x200 that included Luke Rossi, Ranger Lewis and Sawyer Bolli that placed 3rd with a time of 1:30.

Blomqvist won the 400 after posting a 50.02 and Luis Tovar came in 3rd in the 1600 with a 4:30.

The 4x400 relay of Ranger Lewis, Brock Lewis, Benjamin Blomqvist and Sawyer Bolli teamed up for 2nd with a time of 3:25.

Blomqvist earned more points in the shot put with a toss of 45-06, Joshua Hierholzer won the triple jump with a measurement of 43-01 and Hayden Brace was 3rd after he went 42-07.50.

Brooks Jones and Luke Rossi were 3rd and 4th in the pole vault after Jones cleared 14-0 and Rossi 13-06.

In the wheelchair events, Ephraim Tonn-Bourg posted an 18.48 in the 100 and a 1:05 in the 400 to win both races.
