February 7, 1951 – March 18, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Myers Lawrence. She was born February 7, 1951 in West Point, NY and was called home March 18, 2023 in Boerne, Texas, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life was held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hillside Fellowship Church in Bulverde.

Debbie filled our lives, and the lives of all she met, with love and joy. Known for her happy and outgoing personality, she was a loving soul who would light up any room she entered. She never met a stranger, and many of her new acquaintances became lifelong friends.

Family was her life! Debbie married in 1971 and had two beautiful daughters. She lived for her children and grandchildren and was the happiest when they were around her. She would redirect all activities if called upon to babysit or take her grandchildren wherever they needed to be. She loved to have lunch with her sister, family, and friends whenever she could. Her declining health presented challenges to her life but you never heard her complain about her condition. She always remained positive and joyful!

She had many interests. She was a commercial underwriter; she was an excellent seamstress, and loved to travel on vacations with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life.

Debbie is survived by her loving family: her brother, Pete Myers; her sister, Michelle Biasiolli and husband Jim (JP); her daughters and their husbands, Amanda and Brent Gothard, and Samantha and Philip Turturo; her precious grandchildren, Addisen, Payden, Karsen, Reagan, Violet, Tommy, and Sophi; and her greatnephew, Patrick.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Virginia “Ginny” Myers and LTG Paul W. Myers, MD; and her sister, Joan Myers Carter.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the staff of Holt & Holt Funeral Home of Boerne. To share words of comfort with the family, please visit www.holtfh.com.
