The Boerne Independent School District recently announced the 2022 campus teacher and support staff of the year winners. The recipients were surprised with the news on their campuses by BISD Superintendent Tom Price.
Nominations are solicited from each campus, with the nominees being voted on by campus staff.
As the campus winner, each teacher and support staff of the year will receive a $1,000 and $500 stipend, respectively, from Boerne ISD. Campus winners also are placed into the running to be selected to represent the district as 2022 Boerne ISD Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year. The district teacher of the year will receive a $10,000 check from Toyota of Boerne as well as a $1,500 stipend from Boerne ISD.
“One of the highlights of the year is surprising our teacher and support staff of the year winners,” Price said. “Each person on this list is well deserving of this wonderful accolade. Our teachers and staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of our students, and for that we are greatly appreciative. We congratulate all of this year’s winners and their families for being recognized by their peers.”
