Geneva School of Boerne continues to excel on the diamond after the baseball team improved to 16-1 with Tuesday’s 8-1 win over Ingram.

Geneva is off until they host Comfort on Monday, 1:30 p.m. during spring break.

In Tuesday’s contest, the Eagles tallied single runs in the first and second frames for the 2-0 advantage, but Ingram cut the lead in half with a run in the top of the third to make it 2-1.

That would be Ingram’s only run of the game, while the Eagles finished out the contest with a run in the third, 3 more in the fifth and 2 in the sixth.

Geneva tallied 9 hits in the game and only committed one error.

Guy George and Lutz both doubled, while George also hit a single, scored a run and picked up an RBI, while Lutz collected 2 RBI.

George Viña singled and drove in a run, Guy Kohler singled, took 2 walks and scored a run, Cannon Menn plated a run, Sam Armstrong singled, Shawn George hit 2 singles, scored 2 runs and picked up an RBI, while Jake Roberson singled and scored.

Roberson went 5 innings and gave up 1 hit, 1 run, 2 walks and sat down 6, while Guy George scattered 2 hits and fanned 2 and didn’t give up a hit or run in one inning of work.
