The Geneva Baseball team continues to play well this year and improved to 15-1 this season after the Eagles went 4-0 at the South Texas Slugfest Tournament last weekend.
The Eagles were at home Tuesday to face Ingram and are off until they play Comfort on Monday.
Comfort opened the tournament with an 11-0 win over Hondo last Thursday.
The Eagles had a good start with a 7-run second frame. They finished with 5 hits, including a home run by Sam Armstrong and a double by Lutz.
Grant Roberson was the winning pitcher in the game.
From there, the Eagles beat the Warren JV, 7-2, and outhit the Warriors, 10-7.
Lutz finished with a triple and a single, while Guy George and Shawn George had 2 hits each.
George Viña was the winning pitcher and struck out 5.
On Saturday, Geneva finished off with two wins after they beat McCollum 8-3 and then beat Edison, 4-2 varsity teams.
Against McCollum, Geneva scored 4 in the first and 3 in the second to take control.
Guy George tripled, doubled and singled, while scoring 3 runs, Sam Armstrong doubled, Cannon Menn and Grant Roberson both tallied 2 hits.
Shawn George gave up 6 hits and only yielded 2 earned runs to get the win.
The Eagles closed out with a 4-2 win over Edison after falling behind 2-0.
Geneva had 4 hits and were led by Grant Roberson, who doubled and picked up 2 RBI.
Cannon Menn and Guy George both tossed three innings apiece in the game.
