Hounds, Chargers play in tennis tournament

The Champion tennis team hosted its annual tennis tournament this past weekend at Boerne High and BMSS.

Normally the tournament features 12 teams from around the area, but this year due to moving the tournament dates it featured only six teams.

Both the Greyhounds and Chargers had good results.

For the Chargers, Maddox Wilfong and Sophia Raimondo placed 1st in mixed doubles.

Avi Gallegos placed 1st in girls singles ahead of teammate Amber Lewis who placed 2nd, while Serena Sharma and Lauren Kenworthy placed 4th in girls doubles.

For the Greyhounds, Jess Gonzales and Sam Gonzales were 1st in boys doubles, Justin Koth finished 2nd in boys singles, Connor Brown placed 4th in boys singles, Chloe O’Connor was 4th in girls singles, Ian Siemens and Georgia Busbee were 4th in mixed doubles and Sophia Norwood and Eleanor Stokes were 5th in girls doubles.
